Her Journey

cropped-img_557311.jpg

At first she had wanted to tell the story of her life…but first she had to listen to her soul speak.

All along this writing journey, she walked along the river’s edge.
Coming to realize that most of our lessons are learned ‘after’ we have experienced them.

When you reflect upon your journey…

you will see.
You will begin to understand the path you are on.

Trust that you are right where you are suppose to be…in this glorious moment of being alive as you listen to your soul speak.

JOURNEY

We are all on a journey.

Different paths leading us somewhere…to there.

Right here.
Now where we are.

Create Your Own Path

image

Many times we walk a path
well worn from our past.

A path that is familiar.
A path in which we have thought we were suppose to be on.

Sometimes though life shifts.
Altering the course of our journey.

Taking us in a new direction.
Allowing us to create our own path.

Walk with Empathy

image

May we walk with empathy today…

I think we as a society can be too quick to judge.
Often times we think we know better than another.

But do we really?

Have we actually walked in another’s shoes?
Do we carry their hidden scars as our own?

Do we wake up from their nightmares,
in the middle of the night, drenched in their sweat?

Do we grieve silently their tears for a loss
or heartache that we may never have experienced?

Do we really have any right to condemn another
who has walked through the fire of their own life?

Who has been brave enough
to take another breath?

Who are we to say what is right or wrong?

Yet we do each day.
More than we realize.

We judge one another and ourselves harshly.
Eloquently.

We whisper behind closed doors,
in an attempt that they might not hear us.

I don’t know about you,
but I am tired of it.

If you are not here showing up for your life…

Creating your heart out.
Getting up after you fall down.

Stay right where you are.
Breathe into that space that feels hard to reach.

Walk with empathy…in your own shoes!
